Neon Dreams “FIND A WAY” Remix ft. Sarah Mark

As the warm weather approaches, the hunt for a new Song of the Summer also heats up. Look for Neon Dreams to be a strong contender in that race via the sparkling new remixed version of their track “Find A Way.”

Halifax-based hitmakers drop a new top 40 remix of the track “Find A Way” featuring fast-rising pop star Sarah Mark just in time for summer. Neon Dreams producer  Corey LaRue explains that “’Find a Way’ is a strong song that we still really believe in.

“We made the original over a year ago and wanted to give it a new and fresh feel. The remixed version is very upbeat and danceable and there’s a strong lyrical concept. Having the feature with Sarah Mark brings it to the next level.” It certainly does just that, for the female vocal ups the sensual side of the song, giving it extra character.

Sarah Mark was nominated alongside Neon Dreams in the Best New Group or Solo Artist (Dance/Urban/Rhythmic) category for the recent Canadian Radio Music Awards in Toronto, for her debut hit single “Turn Up.” Neon Dreams won the CRMA in that category, for their hit track “Marching Bands,” beating out such other noted nominees as Shaun Frank, Tory Lanez and PARTYNEXTDOOR.

It turns out Sarah Mark and Neon Dreams were already fans of each other’s work, as Corey explains. “We knew Sarah from having heard her music all over the radio. We love her strong voice. We had been working on the remix and it came to us that Sarah would be great for it. We contacted her management and it turned out she was into what we were doing too. It just flowed really easily.”

“I certainly enjoyed working on the song,” recalls Sarah Mark. “It has such a Caribbean feel to it in the beat naturally, so I loved it off the bat. I love anything with a Caribbean flavor to it, something that makes you dance, and that’s what “Find A Way” does. I’m honored to be chosen for the feature.”

The ‘island vibe’ injected by Sarah’s vocals was bolstered by the fact she recorded her parts in the Caribbean. “I left Canada the day I was asked to do the feature. I got into the studio two days later, recorded my vocals, and sent them off to the band.

“I am very pleased with how it turned out. I listen to the song every time I work out. It’s a song that gives me energy and makes me feel happy, so I love listening to it.”

The remix came together in a single afternoon at Neon Dreams’ Halifax studio, proof that the crew, led by LaRue, have quickly become masters on the production and remixing side. They produce their own material, and have come up with well-received remixes for other artists, including fellow East Coast radio star Ria Mae.

With their hot new cut set to “Find A Way” onto radio, Neon Dreams are looking ahead to a series of summer dates across the country. One highlight is sure to be their coveted slot opening for chart-topping The Chainsmokers at The Calgary Stampede on July 9.

Helping Neon Dreams stand out from the pack is their fresh take on electronic pop, one that combines EDM and live instrumentation. Their truly original sound was captured on 2016’s seven-song EP To You, a release that continues to enjoy astonishing success. The subsequent track “Marching Bands,” featuring Kardinal Offishall, became a bona fide hit, one now verging on Cetified Gold Status and reached #15 on Top 40 charts.
