From the stage and silver screen to behind the scenes, Wes Mack is undeniably the entertainment industry’s Jack-of-all-trades – between numerous television roles, impassioned songwriting, matchless vocals and a seat in the Director’s chair (Mack self-directed the videos for “Before You Drive Me Crazy”, “Duet” & “Our Soundtrack”), his charm and star quality are irrefutable. Following a landmark year in 2013 with back-to-back radio hits, being named the inaugural winner of the CCMA’s Discovery Program and besting 10,000 hopefuls across the globe to be named the Grand Prize winner of the prestigious Unsigned Only Music Competition, Mack spent much of 2014 in studio recording his major label debut in strategic partnership with Universal Music Canada and Nashville-based Big Machine Label Group.
Kicking off 2015, Wes released his major label debut single, “Before You Drive Me Crazy”. The song debuted on the iTunes Canada Top 10 country charting #6 and was met with overwhelming support from Canadian Country radio. Wes also secured several large music festivals this summer and is set to join Shania Twain on 14 shows for her upcoming Rock This Country Tour in June.
He sang his way into fan’s hearts, homes and barn parties with “Our Soundtrack” and the infectious, “Duet” (featuring Carly McKillip of One More Girl), which peaked at Number 9 on the Country Radio Chart. Catching the eye of some of the music industry’s biggest tastemakers, Mack recently found himself the proud recipient of three 2014 CCMA Nominations, including Rising Star, Video Director of the Year (for One More Girl’s “Love Like Mine”), and CMT Video of the Year. Additionally, he was nominated for two BCCMA awards including the Ray McAuley Horizion Award and Video Director of the Year.
As an actor, Mack has built an impressive resume that includes four CW shows; The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Smallville and The 100 and his recurring role in the CBC drama Heartland, where he plays up-and-coming country musician Austin Mars. With his fun and genuine spirit, there’s no doubt Mack’s music resonates with 20-somethings and young-at-hearts alike. With just a glimpse of what we can expect from his major label debut in 2015, fans of Mack are in for an indisputable good time. Wes is signed with Universal/Big Machine and represented by The Agency Group, and Chief Music Management and Hyvetown Music Publishing.
