12 MAY 2014 (Toronto ON) – Canadian singer/songwriter Shawn Hook will release his new album, Analog Love on June 9 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Fans can pre-order the album starting today and receive three instant grat tracks, “A Million Ways”, “In Over My Head (Piano Version)” and the current hit single, “Sound Of Your Heart”.
For the past two years, Shawn has been writing music with A-list producers, Jimmy Harry (Pink, Hedley), Stephen Kozmeniuk (Chris Brown, Drake, Rihanna), Todd Clark (Phillip Phillips, Elle King, Lucy Hale) to name a few. Shawn also cites his Canadian peers, Mike Wise (Lights, Hedley, Allie X) and Nathan Ferraro as co-writers as well as helping him find confidence in writing and producing on his own for this album. Shawn can be heard playing the piano on “Sound Of Your Heart” and “Relapse”. He also produced and arranged “In Over My Head (Piano Version)”.
“This album has been two years in the making and I’m really excited to finally be releasing new music for my fans,” says Shawn. “Since my Juno nomination in 2013, I’ve spent my time writing and recording songs in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Toronto. My goal for this album was to keep the music fresh sonically, while showcasing my vocal performance and the story in each song.”
Last week, “Sound Of Your Heart” shot up to #11 on iTunes Canada overall chart. The video for the track has been viewed over 313 000 times and can be seen here. “Sound Of Your Heart” is currently featured in the on-air spots for Global’s original powerhouse drama Rookie Blue Season 6. “A Million Ways” will also be placed in-show during the explosive season, which premieres Thursday, May 21 at 9 et/pt only on Global.

Before releasing his debut record on 2012, Shawn was a singed songwriter for ABC Studios with original songs featured on Kylie XY, Eli Stone & Greek. In 2013 Shawn was nominated for a Juno Award for Breakout Artist of the Year.
